*Mackinac Iceland [mækɪ ˌ ː nɔ] is an island in Lake Huron east of the Straits of Mackinac (Mackinac County, Michigan). Its total area is 9.779 kilometers ².
1875 here was the second national park in the United States, the Mackinac Island National Park is famous for its Victorian hotel buildings there, and by the prohibition of cars. Historic significance is Fort Mackinac.
**Mackinac Island ist eine Insel im Huronsee östlich der Mackinacstraße (Mackinac County, Michigan). Ihre Fläche beträgt 9,779 km².
1875 entstand hier der zweite Nationalpark der Vereinigten Staaten, der Mackinac National Park. Bekannt ist die Insel für ihre viktorianischen Hotelbauten sowie durch das dort geltende Verbot von Automobilen. Geschichtlich bedeutsam ist Fort Mackinac.

That's actually in Grand Haven, Michigan, off the coast of Lake Michigan. It's about a half hour from where I live. Beautiful picture, especially in the wintertime.
