I photographed these branches of a young red maple tree in a park near my house. The leaves of the red maple can also turn orange and golden shades, but most of the red maples in my area turned red this year. Older red maples than this one often have leaves that only turn partially, and have some green in them.

I was happy to find this red maple tree that lived up to it's name. :D
