Incredible photo of a storm about to be...I think it was 'Elena'? It hit the Gulf of Mexico in early September 85.

CONSIDER THE SIZE OF THE STORM; COMPARE IT TO THE HORIZON AND NOTICE THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE CURVE OF THE EARTH.
THIS IS VERY LARGE!

Bad storm? That's a lot more than a bad storm. That could blow down countries , more than one. You better dig in and keep digging. I'd get as deep as I could before that hit!

In my opinion this isn't hurricane Elena but Isabel.These sateilte pictures are made from the International Space station or - in rare cases- from the space shuttle .
