This is a photo of a female turtle. She has just laid some eggs and buried them in the sand. After she is done she will return to the ocean. This practice is normally done at night. I guess the timing wasnâ€™t right for her.

At least she found the ocean after all that work - i understand they lay 100s of babies at one time - now wonder she runs away, I would too! Think of all those diapers...
