wish to share this..., when I was little we lived across the road from an old lady who grew tulips of all colors and type for a side income. She sold them at the local market. Every year she'd have tulips that failed in some way; were either too short or not true to the name (she would buy the bulbs from Holland) so she'd give them to my mother for free. Every Spring we had vases filled with this most graceful of all flowers (to me) to enjoy them. I love tulips for that reason... they're special! Thanks for bringing those memories back to me...:)
