Baby Maple Leaves

I took this photo at the beginning of May. I can't believe that May is almost over already! Where does the time go?

It's actually something I've wanted to do for years...photograph some tree leaves when they are first emerging. Every Spring it seemed like something would come up...too busy or pouring rain or whatever. And it happens so quickly! Every year by the time I went out to catch it, the leaves were already totally unfurled and rapidly growing.

I'm so excited that I was finally able to catch this leaf stage on camera!
