Visually... beautiful..., as long as it doesn't erupt. I thought that these handsome colors were made from calcium and Sulphuric activity, but after a research found out this: " The step-like terraces form as heated water moves along the Morris-Mammoth Fault. The hot water carries dissolved calcium and bicarbonate to the surface of the terraces where pressure lessens. Carbon dioxide then escapes as gas and the carbonate combines with calcium to precipitate as travertine." Carbonate 2HCO3 is carbonic acid but at yellow stone springs it is higher concentration of this solution and will burn your flesh. Diluted, it is found in soda drinks and human blood plasma.
