Hi everyone! We're hard at work trying to keep our community clean, so if you see any spam, please report it here and we'll review ASAP! Thanks a million!
On March 1st, my area of Michigan got walloped with 7 inches of unusually heavy wet snow. Snowflakes averaged 1/2 inch in diameter. (1.27 centimeters.) People struggled to get their cars through thick mucky slush. Large tree limbs were weighed down low to the ground; many eventually snapped and broke. I was overjoyed to get home safely from work!
That night, a lot of the snow froze in the tree tops froze solid. The next day the ice started melting and crashing to the ground. It made quite a racket, especially when I had to go somewhere in my car and lots of ice fell on it!
The trees were beautiful! I took many photos of them. The 3 I'm uploading today were hard to choose. Too many pretty ones!

PS. I guess I'd better explain why I find this tree confusing. Although it's a silver maple tree, at first glance, I thought it was a birch tree-- especially before some of the snow started to melt off of it. By the time I got to take this photo, much of the snow and ice had either melted off or fallen off, but I think you can still see why it made me think of a white barked birch tree. One more thing also... if you enlarge the wallpaper, you can see buds on it, that made me think of Spring, not Winter!

After reading your explanation on 'confusing', I thought it was a birch of some kind, too and you can see frozen chunks of snow dislodging form the branchlets.... it is beautiful
