A Double Birthday Rainbow

A DOUBLE BIRTHDAY RAINBOW
This double rainbow didn't appear on my birthday, but on my Mom's.

My husband and I were driving to a special restaurant, (we only go there once a year) to celebrate my Mom's birthday. It was raining like crazy. It stopped just before we got off of the freeway, and the sun tried to come out. As usual, I looked for a rainbow... and then spotted this huge double one! I was so excited to see it that my husband pulled into a small parking lot so that I could get photographs. It was still raining huge drops of rain while I took my pictures, but I didn't care. Getting wet was worth it, in my opinion!

This photo is a favorite of mine because you can see the rainbow reflected on the wet pavement.

PS. My Mom and everybody else got to see the birthday double rainbow also... along with my photos of it.

Sometimes you do have to stand in the rain to get the right shot! Great job! Yes, the reflection in the pavement is fantastic.

I like this one because it show the rainbow's reflection on the road. (pity those cables are obstructing the view somewhat) All in all, great shot! Thx. for also sharing the story with us
