He is a picture I took when on the ferry boat heading to Fort De Soto, from Egmont Key. Both Islands are only a distance of 3.5 miles apart, yet host the same purpose of protecting the ship channel into Tampa Bay from a Spanish attack durring the Spanish-American War.
Both Forts were exciting to explore and to learn about the history of Florida and the "not talked as much about" Spanish-American War of the late 18 & early 1900's. I hope you enjoy the mini tour! ;)
