Glencoe Village and Loch Leven

Glencoe Village and Loch Leven - classic, glencoe, highlands, loch leven, mountains, scotland, village

Wallpaper Description:
A postcard shot, photographed from a mountain known as 'the Pap of Glencoe' because of its shape. The Ballachulish Bridge carrying the A82 (major road) across the narrows between Loch Linnhe (distance) and Loch Leven (foreground) is clearly visible.
Putting an amber filter over the top half of a picture seems to be popular with postcard manufacturers, don't know why; if a sky wasn't ridiculously blue, they like it to have been made gold. Wouldn't be my choice, but there you go.

It's a beautiful area, and this photo is taken from a fine vantage point. I don't do climbing/heights :D so I don't have anything nearly this good - but I took some shots from the Ballachulish Bridge one time, I'll see if any of them are worth uploading...
