it's not a bridge, you know. it was a pier. but the cross members either rotted away or more likely were removed for other purposes since this pier is no longer in use. I do love how the rocks go out into the water. makes you wonder if that was the original pier, before anyone thought of sinking those HUGE tree trunks into the bottom to support the pier.
