After surviving Crack Canyon, we checked out the nearby Goblin Valley State Park, where wind and water have carved unique goblin-like sculptures out of rock, creating an outdoor playground that inspires the imagination.†While hiking the formations, nature proved its point as it began working on us. Wind-whipped sand stung the surface of our skin and eyes. Numerous other sandstorms have blasted this magnificent swell for eons. Why did we think we’d be spared? Even our peanut butter and jelly sandwiches seemed a bit crunchier.
