I remember swimming off a pier similar to this one in North Carolina, Myrtle Beach, when I was young. It was really fun, no thoughts or cares or worries, until I looked down from on top of the pier later and saw a shark in the water where I had been...then I had a few thoughts, not quite so carefree. I still love it though, and not hindered, atleast not regularly hindered...depends on the location and circumstance, right?!
