actually its a house centipede, notice all the legs. dont kill them they eat up all the real pests. check out cicada killers if you wanna see a freak show, they look like wasps on steroids.

that is a silver fish. they are harmless but creepy looking. Silver-fish bugs only come out where there is moisture, like in basements......
