,,I am a sad, drooping flower. My head is forced down by those who lower my self-esteem. They think they help by constantly watering me with advice. They hurt me though. When they give advice, my confidence weakens. They make me feel I am not good enough. “Here,” they mock me, “Make sure you follow my advice because you need to improve.” Why, though? Why do I need to be better? Do they mean I am not fine the way I am? Why can they not accept me for being me? I do not want to change for them. I do not want improve for them. I want to do whatever is best for me. If I change, it will be for myself, not for them. Every time they give advice, I appreciate it, yet another one of my petals reluctantly falls. My petals are growing scarce now. I am sore in all those empty spots. My heart races as my mind flies back to the many times I was hurt. The thoughts bring back the pain. I lose more petals. It will not end! Too much pain; make it stop! Petals glide off easily now, as if they are aided with butter. Three more; now two; one to go. My last memory displays my mother, the one who carried my seed, giving me the very advice I hate to hear. My last petal falls away; all I see is darkness...,,
