Mmmm, I think Lonely might be in the eyes of the beholder! I opt for secretive, secluded, isolated, apart, coveted, solitary, separate, nook, charming, cottage...something of the mystique in a simple cottage or cabin on the lake always draws me in! It's not that I would wish to be a hermit, but...the separation from the hustle and bustle of life, and the complicated complexities and worries of it all melt away in such an environment as this. You can step out of time and live in the moment! I love the golden tones, orange hues, and the mists! I could imagine hearing the sounds of wildlife around me, the croaking of frogs, the chirp of crickets, the sounds of birds, the call of the loon, the slapping of the tail of a beaver, a wolf's howl, while safe within my walls, partaking of the bounty that surrounds me! My kind of life!
