Comments for "Maple Leaf Shadows"

I actually love both trees. Maple for its daintiness and color and oak for its massiveness and long life. My favorite is Hungarian oak, and of maples... Japanese maples and sugar maple... have all three in my garden.

No, you're right. It is a maple tree. Now that I've enlarged the image, I could see by the shape of the leaf that it was a maple..., and the shadow of the leaf could have told me that, too. Aaah..., I'm not perfect yet, ha ha ha!:):)

I think that this could be a 20y. old pink/red oak. Are you absolutely sure that this is a maple?:D

Emma, I know this is some kind of maple tree, but I'm not sure which kind of maple that it is. If I find out, I'll let you know. :)

Nice capture of the shadow! :)

Thanks Elaine, you're right, this image would fit more in the 'Shadows' part of the group because of perspective. If the sun wasn't in that exact location to give us that shadow from the leaves we'd see a different point-of-view. 8)

Nice shady canopy and very smooth trunk. What tree is it, Elaine?
